Know the Warning Signs of Stroke

Symptoms of a stroke can vary from person to person. They also depend on the part of the brain where the stroke occurs and the amount of brain cells killed.

The warning signs are:

Numbness symptoms

Sudden onset of:
Numbness, especially on one side of the body

speech, confusion, trouble speaking or understanding symptoms

Sudden onset of:
Slurred or loss of speech, confusion, trouble speaking or understanding

loss of vision symptoms

Sudden onset of:
Dimness or loss of vision, particularly in one eye

headache symptoms

Sudden onset of:
Severe headache with no known cause

dizziness symptoms

Sudden onset of:
Unexplained dizziness, sudden falls or unsteadiness, especially along with any of the previous symptoms

If you experience any of these symptoms, even if they don't cause pain or last a long time, call 911 immediately.
